In order to enrich the digitised collection of 19th century theses of the Faculty of Sciences of Paris already available on SorbonNum (316 documents), the Sorbonne University Library is putting 116 other historical theses online, printed versions of which are kept at the Centre technique du livre de l'Enseignement supérieur (CTLES), in order to facilitate their consultation.

This new corpus has been digitised on the basis of a scientific selection made by a committee of faculty members from the Faculty of Sciences at Sorbonne University. The main disciplines represented are physics, biology, and chemistry, and to a lesser extent, geosciences.
